Cheddar Expands to New York City on CUNY TV

Top news stories available daily to 9 million local cable and broadcast households

NEW YORK, NY — October 17, 2018 –Cheddar, the leading post cable company, and independent New York television station CUNY TV today announced a daily half hour of Cheddar news headlines and top stories programming that will air on CUNY TV weekdays at 7PM. CUNY TV is available in the tri-state area on digital broadcast (channel 25.3), and in the city’s five boroughs via on Spectrum/Optimum (channel 75), RCN (channel 77), and Verizon (channel 30).

“Expanding CUNY-TV’s content, in partnership with Cheddar, gives our very loyal audience something fresh and exciting and provides millennials an opportunity to see what CUNY, CUNY TV and Cheddar is all about. Very, very exciting!” said Gail Yancosek, Interim Executive Director of CUNY TV.

CUNY TV, the City University of New York television station, is the largest professionally-staffed university television station in the country. The channels are available to Approximately 1.7 digital broadcast homes and 7.3 million cable homes. In addition, viewers can watch CUNY TV shows on demand any time at www.tv.cuny.edu.

CUNY TV is available on every cable system in New York City and over the air for cord cutters.
